Modern Slavery Statement

Eliminating modern slavery from our operations and value chain

This statement outlines the steps Prime Property Development ("Prime") takes to prevent modern slavery, forced labor, and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and comparable regulations.

Financial year ending: 31 December 2024

1. Our structure, operations, and supply chain

Prime is an integrated real estate development, construction, and asset management firm operating across 32 global cities. Our supply chain includes design consultants, construction contractors, materials suppliers, technology providers, and professional services firms.

2. Governance and policies

  • Code of Conduct with explicit prohibitions against forced labor and human rights abuses.
  • Supplier Code of Ethics requiring adherence to labor laws, fair wages, and safe working conditions.
  • Whistleblowing policy offering confidential reporting channels in every region.
  • ESG governance committee overseeing ethics and responsible sourcing programs.

3. Risk assessment

We conduct annual risk assessments to identify regions, sectors, and commodities with elevated risk of modern slavery. Construction materials, temporary labor, and overseas procurement undergo enhanced scrutiny with due diligence questionnaires and site audits.

4. Supplier due diligence

Pre-engagement

We vet new suppliers through background checks, compliance certifications, and contractual commitments to human rights and anti-slavery provisions.

Ongoing monitoring

Regional procurement teams monitor supplier performance, conduct site visits, and track corrective action plans when issues arise.

5. Training and awareness

Employees in procurement, project management, HR, and legal receive mandatory annual training on modern slavery indicators, responsible recruitment, and reporting protocols. We also share educational resources with tier-one suppliers.

6. Reporting and remediation

We provide secure hotlines and email channels for workers, partners, or community members to report concerns. Allegations are investigated promptly, with remediation plans and escalation to authorities when necessary. We do not tolerate retaliation against whistleblowers.

7. Measuring effectiveness

Key performance indicators include supplier audit completion rates, corrective action closure timelines, training participation, and zero-tolerance enforcement outcomes. We report progress annually to our Board’s ESG committee.

8. Future commitments

  • Expand human rights due diligence to tier-two suppliers in high-risk categories.
  • Integrate worker voice technology to capture feedback directly from onsite labor forces.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to share best practices and remediation frameworks.

9. Board approval

This statement was reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors of Prime Property Development Holdings Limited on 15 January 2025 and signed by our Chief Executive Officer.
